Sanjeevani – Health Care Skilling Initiative
One of the key areas that RPG Foundation has focussed on over the past 6 years has been the domain of skilling for women and youth. Acknowledging the demographic dividend, we have been keen that women and young people from disadvantaged sections of society get an equal opportunity to learn, participate and prosper. RPG Foundation has been intervening in the skilling space for the past 6 years now and one of the areas that we realised needed focused and much needed intervention is the healthcare skilling area. Hence, Project Sanjeevani has been formulated with the aim of addressing the dual need of the country’s demographic challenge of skilled professionals as well the challenges of our healthcare delivery system.
The goal of Project Sanjeevani is to work in collaboration with the Government of India’s skilling initiative and aims to skill 20,000youth in the next 5 years to be health care professionals. The courses being offered range from 3 months to 3 years and along with medical training emphasis is also laid on the grooming, English literacy and personality development of the beneficiaries.
